Trapline App ("the app," "we," "our") is a personal trapping diary for logging trap sets, catches, gear, and fur sale prices. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Location data: When you create a trap set, the app captures your device's GPS coordinates at that moment, so the set's location can be shown to you later and opened in your device's maps app. This location data is stored only on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
Photos: If you take a photo while logging a catch, it is stored within the app on your device. You may also choose to save a copy to your device's camera roll. Photos are never uploaded to us or any third party, and the app never accesses your existing photo library — only photos you take within the app.
Sets, catches, gear, and fur price entries: All information you enter into the app (species, bait/lure/urine names, notes, sale prices, etc.) is stored locally on your device only.
Feedback emails: If you choose to send feedback through the app, it opens your device's own email app with a message addressed to us. We only receive what you choose to write and send — the app does not automatically collect or transmit anything when this feature is simply available or offered to you.
All app data (sets, catches, gear, photos, prices) is stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. It is not synced to any cloud service or server operated by us. If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device (uninstalling may or may not clear it depending on your device's settings).
Paid features in Trapline App, when available, are processed through Apple's App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat, a subscription and purchase management service. When you make a purchase, standard purchase and transaction information is handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat according to their own privacy policies:
We do not receive your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple/Google's payment systems.
You can deny or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device settings; the app remains usable without them, with reduced functionality in the related feature.
Trapline App is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same page with an updated "Last updated" date.
