These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Trapline mobile application ("Trapline," "the App," "we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Trapline, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Trapline is a personal record-keeping tool for fur trappers to log trap sets, catches, and related field notes, and to review that data as season reports. Trapline is a logging and organizational tool only. It does not provide legal advice, does not track or verify compliance with state or local trapping regulations, and does not guarantee any level of catch success.
You are solely responsible for knowing and following all applicable federal, state, tribal, and local trapping laws and regulations, including licensing, season dates, check-time requirements, and species-specific rules. Trapline does not track trap check-in status or compliance of any kind, and nothing in the App should be treated as a substitute for your own knowledge of the law.
Trapline stores your sets, catches, notes, and inventory data locally on your device. We do not require or maintain a cloud account, and we do not have access to your logged data. You are responsible for backing up your data (for example, using the App's export feature) — if you lose your device, uninstall the App, or experience a device failure without a backup, your logged data may be permanently lost, and we are not able to recover it for you.
You agree not to: reverse-engineer or tamper with the App; use the App for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to interfere with the App's operation, security, or the subscription/billing systems provided by Apple or Google.
Trapline is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that fur price reference data will be current or accurate at any given moment — reference pricing is provided for informational comparison only and should not be relied upon as a guarantee of what any buyer will pay.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost data, lost income, or any trapping-related outcome. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose, if any.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the App evolves. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@traplineapp.com.
